Joe Texx was born to the parent of a Jamaican father and Guyanese mother, as a child growing up in Guyana, South America. Joe Texx found the love for music at an early age, listening to the sounds of Bob Marley, Eddie Grant, Burning Spears and many others.
Living in a Country such as Guyana where at the time Reggae music was not that popular. Joe Texx then moved to the U.K in the late 80s, where there was a large Jamaican community, he settled in and wasted no time in developing his promotional skills.
Joe Texx then went on to promoting dances such as, stage Shows and Fashions shows etc. He was one of the first promoters to promote Jamaican Independent dance, in the UK and also the first to promote Guyana Independent Dance in the UK as well.
Joe Texx also went on to promote some of the UK’s most famous reggae artist such as, Dc Ninjah, Jo 90, Sweety Ire, Top Cat, General Levey and Savana (just to mention a few), also international artist such as Sanchez and Peter Metro etc.
After hearing the amazing voice of Joe Texx, friends would always encourage Joe Texx to pick up the mike and sing., Entertaining and making people happy was always something Joe Texx was good at.
Besides, promoting shows Joe Texxwas one of the first black market traders to have his own business in Petticoat Lane Market in the East- End. He went on to own several fashion retail businesses, also trading at some of the biggest Carnivals ,such as Nottinghill, and Festivals in the UK, Of which he still does up to this day.
Customers would always encourage him to take up singing as a career but he would always put business first.
Music History
Joe Texx first breakthrough was in 2000 when he recorded the Song (FIRE RED) J.T Record, which was an instance hit. The community loved and supported it. Fire Red went to number 20 on the echo chart and his first EP (HARD ROCK) J.T Record in 2001.
In 2006 he recorded another smash hit (BLACK BOY) J.T Record which was recorded in Jamaican Tuff Gong Studio this provided Joe Tex the opportunity to work with some of the Jamaican top Reggae musicians such as, Althia and Nikki Bard (Buju Banton backup vocalist) and including U. K’s number one Mafia and Fluxy. Black Boy was one of his biggest hit singles bringing him international recognition from around the globe.
After the U.K recession and the global economic crisis in 2008, Joe Texx took time out to redefine his market strategy. Under a new management, Joe Texx went on to produce a full 15 tracks CD which was release in August 2014.
The CD is set to have strong culture lyrics and riddims to make you dance off your feet with Music style like Bob Marley/ Sizzla Kaloji.
After his So Far Away tour to Africa the Gambia in 2016. Joetexx felt in love with the place and its similarities with Jamaica. The artist ends up writing a song,
Title; (Gamjam), which is streaming on the YouTube and about to be release on amazon also all other music platforms on Marcus Garvey day 17/08/23.
Joetexx also expected to release a new 11tracks CD in the coming months of 2023.

For an artist who’s not sign with a major record company Joe Texx has tour the world with some of the biggest Reggae Musician.
Joe Texx has performed in Guyana, New York, Spain, Canada, Jamaica, Germany and France etc. Working with artist such as, Pamalar Maynard, First Born, Capelton, Beres Hammond, Coco Tea, Natural Black, Ras Mac Bean, Luciano, Fantan Mojah, Warrior King, Sizzla kaloji and Turbulence.

Culture and Community projects
Joe Texx is very passionate about his roots and culture and sees himself as Rastefere, and tries to follow the philosophy and ideology of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia.
In his spare time Joe Texx dedicates his times to community projects (mentoring and supporting youth’s programs) such as giving lectures in schools on Rastefere subjects, and lectures on respect for each other within the community. Joe Texx also takes part in teaching and lecturing Rastefere in Temples throughout the U.K.
